Sniffing is one of the most natural, satisfying activities a dog can do — and a snuffle mat makes it easy to offer indoors.
Step 1: Make it obvious
For the first session, scatter food on top of the mat in plain sight. The goal is a quick win, not a challenge.

Foraging is a slow, focused activity. Let your dog work at their own pace, and end the session while they're still interested.
