Pet essentials for Canberra and the ACT
Canberra's cold winters, wide nature reserves and townhouse-and-apartment mix make it a distinct market for pet owners — lots of outdoor walking balanced with more compact living spaces.
Popular categories for ACT pet owners
Canberra's genuinely cold winters drive solid demand for warm bedding and comfort products, while the city's many walking trails and nature reserves make leashes, harnesses and travel gear a year-round staple. Townhouse and apartment living also means space-conscious cat enrichment does well here.
Delivery to the ACT
Standard national shipping rates and the free-shipping threshold apply across the ACT, and as a compact, well-connected territory, delivery times are generally consistent with nearby NSW regional centres.
A reminder on registration
The ACT requires dogs to be registered and microchipped through Access Canberra. If you've recently adopted, check current requirements and fees on the ACT Government website.
