Apartment living doesn't limit enrichment — it just changes which activities make sense. The best apartment enrichment is quiet, contained and easy to reset.
Choose quiet activities
Licking and sniffing are nearly silent. A lick mat on a hard floor or a foraging session on a rug won't bother neighbours the way a hard toy bouncing off floorboards might.
Contain the mess
Run rolling feeders in a hallway or bathroom where scattered kibble is easy to sweep, or place a mat underneath the activity zone.
Use vertical time, not space
Enrichment is about mental effort, not room to run. A ten-minute puzzle session can settle a dog more than you'd expect from such a small footprint.
Build a small rotation
Two or three compact products, rotated across the week, beat a pile of toys left out permanently. See our guide to rotating enrichment.
